1870 - José Lavaque, a viticulture pioneer inspired in the arts of the old continent, planted the first vines in Cafayate Valley, Salta.
1889 - His son Félix Lavaque, started the winemaking tradition by producing the first fine wine and becoming one of the most important wine suppliers of Argentina.
1930 - Gilberto Lavaque (his youngest son) took the Lavaque name together with his wine producing passion, to one of the most fitting regions for the wine industry in Argentina creating Bodegas Lavaque in San Rafael, Mendoza.
Today is Rodolfo Félix Lavaque, together with his son Francisco -UC Davis degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Viticulture and Enology- fifth generation of Lavaque family, who with renewed strength continues the family legacy through a clear policy of integration, modernization and expansion.
